MARY E. NORTON CHAPTER
ST. BARNABAS EPISCOPAL CHURCH—TULLAHOMA, TN

     The Mary E. Norton Chapter held a High Tea for the women of the parish in November. The ladies were given a list of items and asked to bring at least five items for the women and children of The Haven of Hope. Haven of Hope is an area outreach and shelter for women and their children who are in an abusive home situation. The Daughters prepared all the food and tea and tried to keep everything as authentic possible. Members of the staff at Haven of Hope were invited to attend the tea. A staff member gave a presentation on the work that is done at the center.
     Last year the Chapter hosted a chili cook-off. The youth judged the finished product. There was a Gold, Silver and Bronze ladle awarded along with a “fabulous” prize of a Giant onion to first place. Since this event was such a success the Chapter decided to make this an annual event. So on February 14, the Chapter hosted a spaghetti sauce cook-off for the Parish.
     The Chapter has started another study for ladies interested in becoming a Daughter.
